Welcome to Comal Appraisal District! Important Note: Change in delivery of Notice of Appraised Value. Section 25.19 (e) of the Texas Property Tax Code authorizes the delivery of the Notices of Appraised Value only on properties where the appraised value of the property is $1,000 greater than the preceding year. Also, a property owner will receive a Notice of Appraised Value if the property is rendered; or a written request for a notice was submitted to the appraisal district by the owner; or a deed filed at the courthouse; or the property was not on the appraisal roll in the preceding year. Additionally, once every three (3) years notices will be mailed to all property owners. The deadline to file a protest is May 31st. If you are not sure of the appraised value of your property, you may click on property search at the top of the page; call our office at (830) 625-8597; or come to the public assistance area in the Appraisal District Office at 178 E. Mill Street Suite 101, New Braunfels TX 78130 for assistance. Within this site, you will find general information about the District and the ad valorem property tax system in Texas, as well as information regarding specific properties within the district. The Comal Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Comal County. The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP). The Comal Appraisal District is responsible for the fair market appraisal of Comal County properties within each of the following taxing entities:
